Claymoddie Garden

Whithorn, Newton Stewart DG8 8LX
Mrs Mary Nicholson
T:01988 500422 mary.claymoddie@aol.co.uk
This romantic five acre garden, designed and developed by the owner, an avid landscaper and plantsman, reflects half a century of dedicated work. It provides a range of timeless, intimate settings, both shady and sunny, for a vast range of plants from both hemispheres, all helped by the proximity of the Gulf Stream. Running through the lower part of the garden is the burn feeding a large pond which, along with the variety of plants and their backdrop of mature woodland, provides the perfect habitat for wildlife, in particular birds. There are changes in levels, but most of the garden is accessible to wheelchairs.

Directions: From Whithorn take the A746 south for two miles to Glasserton crossroads, turn left onto the B7004. After 300 yards turn right up farm road signed Claymoddie.

Openings:
Sunday 29 April, 11am - 5pm (2018)
