These complementary gardens, very different in style and planting, are set against the backdrop of Deuchrie Dod and Pressmannan Wood.
Eastfield Whittingehame, Haddington EH41 4QA (Mr & Mrs D Shaw-Stewart): Eastfield has recently been created from a farm steading building. All young planting, new hedges and large courtyard garden.
Redcliff Whittinghame, Haddington EH41 4QA (Joe and Jenny Harper): Redcliff was built as the factor's house to Whittingehame Estate, home of Prime Minister A J Balfour. The established garden is terraced and runs down to the Whittingehame water.

Directions: A199 to East Linton bypass and turn right, follow road to Whittinghame for 2.4 miles. From Haddington, A199 to East Linton bypass and turn right, follow road to Whittinghame for 2.4 miles. Redcliff is the red sandstone house at the top of the hill at Whittinghame.

Other details: The gardens are connected by a path - there is limited parking at Redcliff and priority will be for visitors with limited mobility.
