Bothwell Village Gardens Hamilton Road, Green Street, Main Street, Blantyre Road, Bothwell G71 8LY (Community Volunteers): There are four delightful gardens developed by various local organisations in conjunction with the Local Authority to be found around the village of Bothwell. Each of these spaces has its own atmosphere created by individual plantings. You will find formal and informal gardens, managed woodland, a sensory garden, suffragette inspired planting, wildflowers, sculptures, plus quirky features such as craft bombing and fairy doors.
Bothwell Organic Growers 30 Blantyre Road Bothwell, G71 8PJ (Gardeners of Bothwell Organic Growers): Also open will be the Bothwell Organic Growers Garden. This large community-managed area has many interesting features including over 50 raised beds tended by individuals, polytunnels, wildlife areas to encourage bees and an interesting hot composting system.

Directions: By car from the M74 take junction 5 and follow the signs to Bothwell (B7071) taking care not to veer off left A725 East Kilbride. At the T junction turn right into Bothwell. Buses 255 First Bus from Buchanan Bus Station to Hamilton via Bothwell. Train, alight at Uddingston Station and take the bus to Bothwell.
