Description:
Our garden showcases Alloa's cultural, artistic, industrial and natural heritage. It is themed around the myth of Tod Lowrie (Red Cap), who features in the Ochil Fairy tales, and Alloa's heritage is showcased in miniature. Look out for the Beatles on the roof of our town hall (The Beatles played here in 1960, just as they were beginning their rise to stardom), the beavers that are now thriving in the river and features of our landscape, such as the glass factory and the coal waggonway. We have oats and potatoes in homage to Scotland's traditional foods and if you scan the QR code, you will be able to hear our P3 children singing Blackbird, our favourite Beatles song. Have fun discovering Alloa's heritage!
Directions: Find our garden between the green and purple wings, outside the STEM classroom.
