Description:
The gardens cover three acres and comprise mature woodland, lawns, productive flower beds and mature shrubbery. The south-facing lawn ends in a ha-ha and gives views towards the Firth of Forth and East Lothian. The garden includes over 50 varieties of rhododendron which flower in stages during May and June. The top wood is covered in snowdrops in the early Spring, giving way to an assortment of bulbs, native bluebells and narcissi. There is approximately an acre of mature trees, including beech, acer, walnut, and two very large Western Red Cedar.
Directions: Located on the B925 to the west of Auchtertool, before the Auchtertool sign and 30 mph zone. Auchtertool is accessible by bus from Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy. Visitors are advised to park in the village and walk to the garden.
