Biggar Open Gardens

High Street Biggar ML12 6DH
The Gardeners of Biggar Town
Current Openings:
Description: This year Biggar is opening its gardens earlier in the season to showcase late spring/early summer gardens. With six new gardens and two that have opened before to enjoy, the easily-walked route is centred on the northern end of the town. Once again we have an eclectic mix including three very different little gems to be found behind the High Street: the garden of an award-winning authority on Meconopsis, an impressive contemporary garden, a delightful cottage garden developed on a budget, as well as two larger gardens filled with interest and surprises, one of which is the perfect location to enjoy a homemade tea.

Directions: Biggar is situated on the A702, 30 miles south of Edinburgh and 10 miles north of Junction 13 on the M74. Bus services to Biggar run from Lanark (routes 191 and 91) from Peebles (route 91) and from Edinburgh and Dumfries (route 101).

Other details: Ticket sales and plant stall will be in front of the Corn Exchange (clock tower) in the centre of Biggar.
