The grounds of Culter Allers centre around its traditional one-and-a-half-acre walled garden, within which lies a productive vegetable and fruit garden with espalier fruit trees and berry bushes lining the walls. There are cut-flower beds, an apple-tree lined walk, a ‘secret’ herb garden, a wishing well and wide herbaceous borders revolving around an ornamental cherry and lawn. The policies of the house include winding woodland walks, fairy doors, a giant (small one) and an avenue of 125-year-old lime trees leading to the village kirk.
