Garden on Larbert Road Virtual Tour

A Stirlingshire garden full of tulips kindly shared by the owner Helen Bang. If you would like to donate towards our fundraising this year, please use the button below.

The house at Larbert Road dates from 1904. The garden front and back was almost all laid to grass when the family moved here in 2007. Helen has been removing turf and replacing with flowers and raised beds for vegetables in stages ever since. She's attempting to bribe her teenage sons into digging her a pond. Helen fell in love with tulips when she visited the Keukenhof Garden in Amsterdam many years ago. She plants her tulips on gravel as she knows they hate the wet. She's found Darwin Hybrids are the most reliable for coming back year after year. The tulips will be replaced with dahlias when they finish.
