A plantsman’s garden created by a confirmed plantaholic. Meandering paths guide the eye through predominantly herbaceous plantings, with small trees and shrubs. The garden opening will hopefully be timed for the peak bloom of some of the 400 irises in the garden. Some areas of the garden are currently undergoing a partial replant. The plant nursery, Holmes Farm Plants, is located at the garden, where a wide selection of plants from the garden can be purchased.
Holmes is the only farm between Drybridge and Dreghorn on B730. Please note the half marathon is being run this weekend and will cause some diversion. SGS garden open signs will be positioned and visitors should follow these.
