Our gardens are currently closed while we support our community through this pandemic. We will open again when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, please visit our website ‘What’s New’ pages, view our garden photographs, sign up for our newsletter, engage with our social media channels and if you can, make a donation to help us support our 2020 charities.

Kew Terrace Gardens: Back to Front

Kew Terrace Lane, Glasgow G12 0TE
Professor George G Browning and other Owners
The previous opening of Kew Terrace gardens included some of the south-facing rear gardens initially planned as drying greens. Access to these is from cobbled, tree-lined and partially gardened Kew Lane. Funds from previous openings have been used to plant and maintain Kew Terrace front gardens on Great Western Road. In 2020 we have slightly moved the emphasis of the opening from at least four of the back gardens to include the front gardens. The gardening of the lane has increased considerably since the first opening in 2008 and has spread to Grosvenor Lane. The gardening of the Kew Terrace front gardens has inspired the residents of Belhaven Terrace to start a similar scheme.

Directions: From the M8 take Junction 17 (A82) and turn west onto Great Western Road. Drive west to the traffic lights at Kirklee and turn left into Horslethill Road. You are now in the Dowanhill controlled parking area, where parking spaces are usually available. Access to Kew Terrace is down the first road on the left.

Admission £7.00, children free.
