Whinhill

Lahill Mains, Upper Largo KY8 5QS
Sue and Jeremy Eccles
Current Openings:
Description: Whinhill is a south-facing hillside garden overlooking the Forth, created over 25 years from fields and farm steadings. The walled garden, formed from the old cattle-court, is packed with shrubs, perennials and bulbs, many grown from seed or cuttings. The lower, more recent section, features a reflecting pool and a collection of peonies and roses. The five-acre garden has a woodland edge with cut paths and huts to explore and the old horses' field, now divided by a serpentine beech hedge, is currently being planted out with trees, shrubs and fruit trees.

Directions: Whinhill is on the right on the A915 , approximately one mile north of Upper Largo. There is a green Whinhill sign at the end of the drive. The X97 bus from Leven to St Andrews passes the gate and will stop on request.
