A Special Afternoon at Burncastle Lodge

A special afternoon of garden wandering for our wonderful SGS community, with teas and live musical entertainment, kindly hosted by Her Grace, the Duchess of Northumberland.

We enjoyed a rare opportunity for our Scotland’s Gardens Scheme community to explore the beautiful gardens in a relaxed and welcoming setting at the private Scottish home of
the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, on Thursday 30 July.

We welcomed volunteers and garden owners from all across Scotland, as well as representatives from one of our core charity partners, QNIS.

Treated to a wonderful afternoon tea in the garden, our guests enjoyed the opportunity for informal networking over a delicious scone, tea and refreshing orange & ginger juice with musical entertainment provided by a live accordion player in the background.  

We would like to give our sincere thanks to Her Grace, the Duchess of Northumberland, for this memorable opportunity, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
