Charity Plant Sales in September

Roll up, roll up. Make way for some lovely new plants in your garden. September is great time to think ahead to next years garden, to stock up on plants, and handy tips, head to your nearest plant sale.

From Edinburgh to Glasgow, Angus to Ayrshire and everywhere in between, Garden Openers have been setting aside, propogating and tending to plants just for you.

Pop along to a local plant sale to pick up some fantastic bargains, whilst supporting charity. It's a great way to source plants that are bound to thrive in your garden, and to pick up handy hints and tips.

Angus Plant Sale

Following the success of our first plant sale held in May 2017, the next one will be September 2018 to allow for preparation of a wider variety of plants. We will offer a good, interesting selection, sourced from private gardens and with some donations from local nurseries. Advisable to come early and bring boxes and trays. Donations of plants either before or during sales very welcome.

Opened in 2016, award winning Horatio's Garden at the Scottish National Spinal Unit, was designed by acclaimed garden designer and RHS judge, James Alexander-Sinclair. Visit to see how this high profile national charity creates cleverly designed, contemporary, accessible gardens in the heart of the NHS.

This long established plant sale is a fantastic opportunity to purchase bare root and potted plants from an enormous selection on offer. We also welcome donations of plants prior to the sale. Please deliver to Hill of Tarvit on the Friday or Saturday. Hill of Tarvit is one of Scotland's finest Edwardian mansion houses. Surrounding the mansion house are spectacular gardens designed by Robert Lorimer, woods, open heath and parkland to explore.
