There is a Coronation Church Service in the Dalswinton Barony Kirk on Friday 5th May at 6pm. The service will be about 40 minutes long and will be followed by coffee and cakes in the Dalswinton Village Hall, with a collection in aid of Scotland’s Gardens Scheme and their beneficiaries.

On Sunday 7th May at 12.00 noon Dalswinton House will open it’s gates for a coronation picnic. There will be music provided by the Psallite Quartet who will sing throughout the afternoon.

In the afternoon, at 2.00pm, the ladies of Kirkmahoe Church will have their renowned homemade teas ready to serve in a Coronation tea tent on the Tennis Court at Dalswinton House and in the House itself. There will be the Thornhill pipe band.

There will be no charge for entering the gardens but any donations will go towards Scotland’s Gardens Scheme and Kirkmahoe Church. There will be a charge of £4 per person for the Coronation tea.
