The lighter evenings aren’t the only sure signs of Spring just now. Bees and butterflies are emerging as well as the eye-popping greens of new foliage and Spring bulbs are painting our gardens with bright splashes of colour. If any flower says Easter - we think it must be the daffodil and they’re certainly looking magnificent up and down the country.

So, with the Easter holidays in mind, here’s a round-up of our gardens that are open over the Easter Weekend, Friday 19th - Monday 22nd April, that will be sure to keep the kids as entertained as adults.

Clover Park - Ayrshire

A friendly herd of pygmy goats - do we need to say more....?!

Megginch Castle - Perth & Kinross

As part of their traditional easter Day celebrations, the Drummond family are seeking help from all ages to hunt for copious quantities of chocolate eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny and the Lollipop Tree Fairy

Ardkinglas Woodland Garden - Argyll & Lochaber

Ardkinglas is the home to Scotland’s only Gruffalo trail - lattice sculptures of Mouse and Gruffalo nestle amongst the trees to magically capture the book’s principal characters while allowing the children’s imagination to bring them to life.

Gordon Castle Walled Garden - Moray & Nairn

Gordon Castle’s natural play area has been designed to encourage children to begin exploring and understanding their natural environment. Created almost entirely from reclaimed materials it’s the perfect place to let their imaginations run free as they learn about the diversity of nature

Floors Castle - Roxburghshire

With a flying fox, swings and monkey bars to name but a few, the children will have a ball in the playground here. The playground can be found in the Walled Gardens and refreshments can be found in the Terrace Café and enjoyed at the outdoor tables nearer the playground. There’s also a cycle path throughout the grounds - something for all of the family to enjoy.
