The garden at No 18 was started 33 years ago when the house was built in the grounds of No 16. The garden is on two levels. At the drive level, there are fruit and vegetables in raised beds. Inspired by a visit to Japan, the Owner has created a little Japanese garden at the back of the house. Climb up the bank crossing a little stream, and you will find yourself on a viewing or turning point for her little buggy. Wander through trees and rhododendrons to the front of the house. Apart from the magnificent copper beech tree everything has been planted in the last 30 years. The tall Assisi pine was grown from a seed from Assisi and the rowan at the front door was planted by a bird! There is a little path down to the drive, or you may prefer the wheelchair friendly path between the two herbaceous borders, back to the house.
