Description: Kilbryde Castle gardens cover some 12 acres and are situated above the Ardoch Burn and below the castle. The gardens are split into three parts: informal, woodland and wild. Natural planting (azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias and magnolias) are found in the woodland garden. There are glorious snowdrops, spring bulbs, and autumn colour provided by clematis and acers. Within the wildflower meadow the meconopsis are happily spreading.

Directions: Three miles from Dunblane and Doune, off the A820 between Dunblane and Doune. On Scotland’s Gardens Scheme open days the garden is signposted from the A820.

Other details: For those participating in the Snowdrop Festival at Kilbryde, there will be snowdrops for sale. On the 24th May there will be refreshments and a plant sale on offer.
