This delightful one-acre garden, which featured in Scotland on Sunday in 2019, has something of interest all year round. Open for two weekends in the spring, it has an extensive collection of daffodils, narcissi and other early flowering plants. The wildlife garden offers mown paths through grassed areas, there is a putting green, summerhouse, apiary and pond. Interesting shrubs and small trees, attractive for their flowers, are complemented by herbaceous plantings. Recently, attention has been paid to reducing windbreaks, redesigning borders and developing small alpine beds. The garden is also offered as a backdrop for small groups to take photographs for family birthdays or celebrations. Please contact the owners to arrange in advance.
Directions: Leave the A73 at Cartland Bridge (Lanark to Carluke Road) or the A72 (Clyde Valley Road) at Crossford. Both routes are well signposted. The garden is on the Nemphlar spur of the Clyde Walkway, just off the West Nemphlar Road on Ladywell Lane.
