Description:
East Lee (NEW) Carriston, Star KY7 6LN (Joan & Richard Muszynski): A cottage garden developed over 38 years as a series of outdoor rooms on different levels, taking visitors on a journey through the garden. Planting is wildlife friendly, using perennials, flowering shrubs, climbers, roses, scented plants, fruit trees and bushes, herbs and vegetable beds. Other features include pond, ceramic art, views of surrounding countryside and stone walls. Has gravel paths and small steps.

An informal garden of half an acre in size, cultivated over 40 years. Includes rhododendrons, magnolias, camellias, acers and other shrubs, trees and perennials, and an additional focus on species Lilium which benefit from the shelter provided by the shrubs and trees grown.
Raylite Townhead, Star KY7 6LF (Andy Stevens): Primarily developed through lockdown from a blank canvas, this cottage garden continues to evolve, featuring a wide range of flowering shrubs, perennials and a large and growing collection of roses. Wildlife is encouraged throughout with large areas left to grow naturally. The owners have also planted a number of ornamental and fruit trees.

Directions: Raylite - Parking at the cottage is not possible due to the narrow country lane. Parking is available at the bottom of the lane, in Drum Terrace, from where there is a short walk up to the cottage. Find using what3words/casino.craziest.variation  East Lee - Take road signposted Burnturk from east end of Star, travel approx 0.7 miles. Group of 5 cottages on corner, garden at last house.
