Opening a fantastic selection of gardens across Scotland to raise money for hundreds of charities

We are pleased to announce that some of our gardens will re-open from 15 July. We are currently updating our opening information. Please check back from 10 July, and also be sure to check our website before setting out to any of our openings to be sure to have the latest information and relevant government advice. If you are not wishing to attend openings just now, you can still visit many of our gardens through our Virtual Garden Visits.

The Bield at Blackruthven

The Bield is set in extensive grounds with well-maintained lawns, clipped hedges, flower meadow and specimen trees. Visitors can stroll around the grounds and explore the labyrinth cut into the grass of the old orchard. The main traditional walled garden has extensive herbaceous borders, manicured lawns and an organic vegetable plot. The walled garden has trained fruit trees, a fruit cage, a glasshouse and a healing garden. Garden visitors may also wish to visit Southron Smallholding - a ten-minute walk through the grounds to extensive vegetable plots, polytunnels and various animals. Not staffed on open day.

Directions: From Dundee or Edinburgh, follow signs for Glasgow, Stirling and Crianlarich which lead onto the Perth bypass. Head west on the A85 signed to Crieff/Crianlarich to West Huntingtower. Turn left at the crossroads to Madderty/Tibbermore. Entrance is left after a half mile passing the gate lodge on your right. Parking signed to right at the steading.
