Description: An historic Renaissance Castle estate in East Lothian, just 30 minutes from Edinburgh. Set in mature and colourful grounds. A glorious spring display of daffodils and cherry blossom surrounds the castle, whilst extensive mixed borders and wisteria walkway provide interest in the Walled Garden. Take a walk around Sir David’s Loch, the natural woodland area at The Dell and enjoy the beautiful borders of the castle terraces, accessed by gravelled sloping pathways and stone steps. Home baking and lunch offerings will be provided along with informative garden tours. A visit to Winton Castle is a wonderful family day out.

Directions: Entrance off the B6355 Tranent/Pencaitland Road. 

Other details: Guided Castle and Garden Tours, family activities with teas, home baking and light lunches available at Cafe Winton. Dogs are welcome.
