Castlebank Park Virtual Garden Tour

Sylvia Russell - the Chair person of Lanark Community Development Trust and the education gardener, Stuart Ritchie, take us on a tour of a local landmark that has been the subject of several restoration projects in recent years. If you would like to donate towards our fundraising this year, please use the button below.

The Lanark Community Development Trust have been working hard at Castlebank and a Horticultural Centre was unveiled in early 2014. Situated near the former site of Lanark Castle where the Sheriff of Lanark was slain by William Wallace in revenge for the murder of Marion Braidfute in 1297, Castlebank Park is a large area of ground consisting of a children's play area, a swing set, a garden and even a Horticultural Centre. The gates into the park are listed building!
