Description: The Panton family moved into Kirkhouse in 2017 and have been enjoying working (with some help!), learning and experimenting with the 8 acres of varied garden. The garden is a mixture of formal and wild, with some areas having existed and evolved over many years. A delightful network of paths will lead you through a series of ‘rooms’ including a newly-planted large herbaceous border, a formal terraced lawn surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, a kitchen garden and greenhouse. There is a gently sloping path through mature woodland to the most recent project – a wildflower meadow. The garden is home to much wildlife and if you are lucky, you may meet one of the local red squirrels.

Directions: Follow the B709 out of Innerleithen for approximately 2½ miles until you reach the hamlet of Kirkhouse and look for the yellow signs. Parking in the church car park, beyond Traquair Kirk on right hand side.
